High temperature co-fired ceramic heating element
High temperature co-fired ceramic (HTCC) heating element is a new generation of mid-low thermal component which replaces alloy heating cord, PTC etc.
Production process:
This HTCC product is made by using Alumina ceramic substrate which has high thermal conductivity as the body and the metal material with high melt point as the internal electrode. It¡¯s produced with some special processes to press two pieces of raw alumina substrate into one part under a suitable pressure and temperature, then perform the so-called co-fired process, finally make the external electrode by brazing process.
Product¡¯s major properties:
1. Conversion ratio of electric heat: more than 90%; remarkably higher than other heating elements,
2. Temperature rising speed: within 10 seconds to reach 200℃ (normally 6~7 seconds)£¬within 40 seconds to reach max. temperature; it¡¯s much faster than PTC;
3. Temperature: max. to 800℃ (for PTC, temperature is less than 400℃, and normally is about 200℃);
4. Higher power density, normally can reach 30 W/cm2;
5. Heating is homogeneous, cooling is fast;
6. Without flame if temperature is lower than 450℃, safety operation;
7. Heating circuit is buried in the ceramic body, no oxidation because of the isolation with air;
8. Structure is simple and co***ct, small volume;
9. Can be used in water or oil directly;
10. Start current is much lower than PTC;
11. Good performance of resistance to acid and alkaline; long life;
12. Heater itself and the manufacturing meet the requirements of environment protection, the component is free of lead, mercury, hexavalent chromium, PBB and PBDE. For PTC, the higher temperature you want, the more lead will be added in the component.
